Cold snap helps wake up wheat and corn prices

28/11/2014

Wheat prices are surging as temperatures plunge in the U.S. Plains states and after a government report showed domestic supplies slipped. The price of wheat for December delivery climbed 11 cents, or 2 percent, to $5.54, taking its gains to 7.6 percent. If the crop holds its current level it will be the biggest weekly price surge since March.
