Kansas wheat farmers still assessing blizzard damage

Wheat farmers in western Kansas and eastern Colorado are still evaluating the crop damage that was caused by a late April blizzard. Bends and kinks in the plants won’t allow them to pull up moisture as hot, dry weather approaches, Dighton, Kan., farmer Vance Ehmke said.
